Keli Ackroyd, ND, LMT, CNHP, MH, MI, ST, RM, Rev., based in Fort Meyers, Florida, is a Naturopathic Doctor and Massage Therapist, with a wide range of healing services. We caught up with Keli with a few questions about starting her business and contributing to the Relational Economy.

What is one thing you wish you would have known before starting your business?

I wish I had a clear vision of exactly who my ideal customer was so that I could have targeted all of my marketing efforts in a focused and specific way.

How has being a part of the Relational Economy enhanced your life?

The most valuable thing to me in business is the relationships that I have created with my clients. They are constantly telling their friends and family about me, and referring people to me that they know I can help heal. I had a new client call the other day, and when I asked her how she had heard about me she said that the lady in line behind her at the grocery store had overheard her talking to her daughter about how much pain she’s been in. She pulled my card out of her purse and told her she should come see me right away! And she did…

What tools could you not live without in your business?

Schedulicity! It integrates seamlessly with my website, and it makes life so easy for my clients and myself. It’s like having a receptionist on duty 24 hours a day.

What is some advice that you would give to new small business owners to manage relationships with clients?

Always be looking for ways to be more valuable to your clients, and share that love and knowledge with them on a consistent basis.
